Lecture Kingspan

On thursday june 17th and  friday june 18th I gave a lecture at the Kingspan Relation Days about my life as architect Archibald. Before and after my lecture I immortalized everyone as a strip character on a Kingspan panel that they could take home to hang up in the office. The first arch.Maaik approved plotter was also present with a demo. Below are a few pictures of the event.

Basketball buildings

Many people don't know that I have a basketball history. I don't play anymore (my bones are cracking when I try again)  but that doesn't mean I don't follow the competition anymore. From time to time I go cheering for my favourite home team the Antwerp Giants who play in the Lotto Arena in Antwerp. Last weekend we went to see them again.     When I was young - that is in an ancient history - I was a tall player and at that time this was rather exceptional. Now, with all those hormones in food, all players on the field are taller than 2.00 meters. When you're high up in the grandstands it's hard to notice but when you're next to the field that hobbit feeling sneaks upon me again. Well, it's the same with cities. A century ago a tall building was unusual but now when I walk through the city all I see are basketball buildings...
